PRIVACY POLICY

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, date of birth (used to confirm you are 18 or older), password, profile details, training preferences, training logs, and messages you send through the platform, along with any waitlist or launch-interest forms you submit. When you check in to a gym or verify an in-person training session, we collect precise GPS coordinates and a timestamp for that action. We also collect service-level diagnostics, abuse-prevention signals, and aggregated product-interaction data needed to keep the service reliable and secure.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the service, help you discover compatible training partners and gyms, support account security, respond to support requests, send updates you explicitly requested, detect abuse, and improve product reliability and onboarding. Training Partner is free to use — we do not process payments or subscriptions.

Analytics and Diagnostics

Training Partner currently uses privacy-preserving aggregate analytics, first-party product events, and performance diagnostics to understand page performance, onboarding/drop-off, feature usage, crashes, and service health. The current product-event lane is restricted to allowlisted activation signals, session-safe identifiers, coarse timestamps, no raw recipient/user/booking IDs in event metadata, and no precise location payloads. We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site behavioral profiling in the current product posture.

Information Sharing

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the product, with other users as required by core social features and your settings, and with authorities when required by law or to protect users and the platform.

Service Providers

We rely on a small set of third-party processors: Cloudflare (hosting, database, and image storage), Vercel (web hosting), Resend (transactional email such as verification and password-reset messages), Google Places (gym and location data), Apple and Google (optional sign-in), and a weather provider used to show conditions for outdoor training spots. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms; some may process data outside your country.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account data while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings; deletion removes your profile, messages, training logs, and check-in and session-verification location history. Certain safety, fraud, and legal records may be retained longer when required by law or to protect users.

Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete personal information through the app or by contacting privacy@trainingpartner.app. Marketing or launch-update emails include an unsubscribe path, and you can also ask us to remove your waitlist information. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including rights to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses of personal information.

Age Eligibility

Training Partner is for adults 18 and older. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and block account creation for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account was created by someone under 18, we will remove it and delete the associated information, subject to legal retention requirements.

Third-Party Links

The service may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not ours.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, legal requirements, or analytics stack changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page and, when appropriate, by additional in-product notice.
